Chess Club:
Tuesdays  at 4:00pm
Get ready to ROOK the HOUSE! Tuesdays at 4:00pm! Do you like playing Chess, or would you like to learn how? The Kenai Community Library is proud to offer  a casual program for chess players of all ages and levels. Chess boards will be provided.

 

Friday the 13th Ghost Stories:
Friday, October 13th at 6:00pm

My sweets, my pretties, my dears… we are now approaching that time where the ghosts and goblins come out to play. Join us afterhours for an evening of frightening fables, terrifying testimonies and alarming accounts! Come prepared to share your scariest story or sit back and take in the ghoulish details. Some of these stories could haunt you, so bring your kids at your own risk.  Sign up at the front desk. Light refeshments provided.

 

Pumpkin Spice Pancakes:
Saturday, October 14th 10:30am

Join us for brunch at the library and learn how to make  delicious pumpkin spice pancakes! Not only is this a good holiday treat, but it will help use up any leftover pumpkin in your fridge.  Space is limited to 8 individuals.  Sign up at the library front desk.

 

American Girl Club:
Monday, October 16th at 4:00pm

Join us at the Kenai Community Library for our monthly American Girl Club! We will be making fairy wings for your doll!   Bring your doll (doesn't have to be an American Girl) or use one of ours! The doll house will be out for everyone to play with. Meets at the same time and place as LEGO Club.

Looking Up To The Stars:
Wednesday, Oct. 25th at 6:00pm
Join us at the SOLDOTNA PUBLIC LIBRARY for an educational and entertaining exploration of the universe, the stars and other celestial wonders. View the amazing rings of Saturn, craters of the moon and other jewels of the night sky through a powerful telescope, weather permitting. The program is presented by astronomer Kevin Manning as part of a nationwide tour.

 

Harry Potter Trivia Night:
Thursday, October 26th at 5:00pm
Teams of up to 5 people are welcome to join us for an evening of Harry Potter Trivia! Light refreshments provided. Sign your team up at the front desk.

 

Literary Haunted House
Friday, October 27th 10:30am -Noon & 3pm -5pm
Saturday, October 28th at 2pm-4pm
Monday, October 30th at 4pm-6pm
Tuesday, October 31st at 11am -Noon & 4pm -6pm

Join us for a FREE not-too-scary Haunted House, open to all ages. Watch your favorite spooky stories come to life with bubbling potions, flashing lights, interactive exhibits, and so much more. No registration required!

 

Day of the Dead- Block Prints
Thursday, November 2nd at 5:00pm

Come learn how to make sugar skull block prints from artist James Adcox in this hands on class. Appropriate for ages 9 and older. Class size limited to 8 people, must pre-register to attend.

 

Raspberry Pi Club:
Saturday, November 4th at 2:00pm
Come join us at the library to create games, inventions, learn how to program, make music with Sonic Pi, meet new friends, and more! Whether you want to hone your skills or are learning about Pi’s for the first time, the Raspberry Pi Club is  for you!
