11:00am Video Conference: Invertebrates in Space!

Date: Mar 5, 2014 11:00:00
Details: Scientists in Action connects students with scientists while they are in their field site or research lab. Insects and spiders are pretty amazing on Earth, but how does their behavior change in space? Find out how scientists at BioServe Space Technologies, Butterfly Pavilion, and the Denver Museum of Nature & Science collaborated to launch these life-forms into low Earth orbit on the International Space Station to study how near-zero-gravity affects their biology! Broadcast from Butterfly Pavilion in Westminster, Colorado. This 45-minute live broadcast connects Museum scientists directly with students via satellite link up for a two way interactive experience.
